Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)
Dakota Communications has worked with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) for nearly 20 years on projects including the Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP), LAX On The Move, the New West Gates at Tom Bradley International Terminal, FlyAway bus services, clean air initiatives, and terminal improvement projects. Most recently, we have been tasked to assist LAWA in the outreach and educations efforts for the variety of large scale infrastructure projects related to the Airfield & Terminal Modernization Project (ATMP).
Dakota Communications has developed and implemented a series of creative and impactful outreach campaigns to engage stakeholders and increase awareness of LAWA’s initiatives. This includes long and short format videos for the New West Gates at TBIT, multilingual radio ads to educate the public about the terminal relocation project, and focus groups to better understand the community’s impressions about the Flyaway Bus Service.
As part of our communication plans, we’ve developed a variety of marketing materials and branding guidelines to increase public awareness of the various LAWA projects to garner community support and inform key stakeholders about these initiatives. Our team has also developed a range of media strategies including targeted radio ads focusing on local, ethnic, and multilingual stations. Our outreach strategies are designed to reach a broad but targeted group of stakeholders using a variety of communication tools from digital ads and sponsored social media posts, to multilingual collateral and traditional print ads in local ethnic publications. This range is critical to engage hard-to-reach stakeholders and increase awareness of LAWA’s initiatives at both the local and regional levels
Dakota Communications’ work proved highly effective in generating significant support from community leaders and elected officials for projects including LAMP and other terminal modernization projects. LAWA continues to seek our assistance in developing effective messages, collateral, media strategies, and other outreach activities to promote its range of projects and initiatives.
