Operating one of the busiest, private emergency and trauma centers in Los Angeles County, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center retained Dakota Communications when the hospital ran into opposition while seeking to expand their campus and add more beds to their facility. Dakota Communications developed a comprehensive media and community outreach campaign, reaching out to approximately 400,000 residents in the San Fernando Valley communities near the project. Dakota’s efforts helped obtain the unanimous support of the City Planning Commission, the Mission Hills Neighborhood Council, the Los Angeles Police Protective League, and other community organizations, as well as more than 10,000 support cards from a variety of stakeholders in the San Fernando Valley. Given the successful outreach campaign, Providence obtained the unanimous support of the City Planning Commission, the Mission Hills Neighborhood Council, the Los Angeles Police Protective League, labor and other community organizations.
